I’m Kim: a Registered Early Childhood Educator, Masters student, best friend, sister, cat-and-plant parent, avid cross-country skier, singer-songwriter, and blogger apparently!
Kim Barton
I became a Registered ECE in 2020 after returning to post-secondary school in 2018 to learn more about working alongside young children. Little did I know that what started as a career stepping stone into counselling or school-aged teaching would unfold into a journey of becoming. My transformative experiences prompted me to start documenting some of my insights on a blog for one of my projects. I continue to use this space professionally and personally to reflect on my learning. I am a current MSc student at UofG in the Family Relations and Human Development program investigating Ontario ECE’s mental well-being.
